Benedictus oli alunperin tarkoitettu ja koulutettu rikollispomon käyttöön salamurhaajaksi. Benedictus onnistui kuitenkin irroittautumaan "työstään" ja lähti pakosalle. Benedictus ehti nähdä ihmiskunnan huonot puolet ja miten turmeltunut galaksi voi olla. Nykyisin hän on questilla tutkimassa muita avaruutta asuttavia kansoja ja selvittämässä, onko maailmassa jotakin pelastamisen arvoista.
