The MuShrooms

Pay attention! There are some highly poisonous, even lethal mushrooms in Finland. We will have knowledgeable people with us, and recommend collecting only some easily identifiable species, mostly we expect to find these (most of the mushrooms are actually already out of season) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craterellus_tubaeformis.

The Weather

If it's heavy rain the event will be cancelled. If it's only light drift we are go. Check the weather forecast and wear appropriate clothes.

The Equipment

• Woods are usually wet in autumn. While we try to avoid the worst places, your shoes are propably going to be wet unless you are wearing actual rubber boots. If you are coming straght to sauna at least take a dry pair of spare socks with you.
  
• A basket or bucket is preferable for collecting mushrooms. Plastc bags will crush the mushrooms and make them harder to clean up for cooking.
  
• There should we wood available for fire at the sausage fest place, but you need to bring your own sausages.
