Benedictus oli alunperin tarkoitettu ja koulutettu rikollispomon käyttöön salamurhaajaksi. Benedictus onnistui kuitenkin irroittautumaan "työstään" ja lähti pakosalle. Benedictus ehti nähdä ihmiskunnan huonot puolet ja miten turmeltunut galaksi voi olla.
