EiA:Sardinian events

Once a year before an event is drawn for a new turn Sardinia may use one of the following Sardinian events.

These events cannot be used before the year 1854.

Each event can only be used once, if not mentioned otherwise.

Events

Expedition of the Thousand

• A DoW on an Italian minor (Sicily, Naples, Tuscany, Papal State, Lombardy or Venice).
  • Each minor can be a target of the Expedition of the Thousand only once
    • If for any reason an Italian minor reverts it's neutral minor status, after the Expedition of the Thousand has been used on it, Sardinia gains a right to declare war on such minor at the normal Declarations of War Step.
  • Any other rules restricting a DoW must be taken into account, when using this event.
  • If Sicily is a target of the DoW, Sardinian corps I Mille is formed and set up to Sicily with Garibaldi leading it (this is done off-phase).
  • If the targeted minor in question is conquered by another major power, choosing the Expedition of the Thousand declares war on that major power.
  • Each DoW costs one PP less than usual
• This event can be used once for each listed Italian minor.

March to the New Triumphs

• A chosen corps in Sardinian controlled Italy is killed to the last man.

To Guard our Glorious Banners!

• A chosen garrison in Sardinian controlled Italy is killed to the last man.

An Undertaking to merit the Applause of the Universe

• Garibaldi is freed if prisoner or returns from Elba.

An Offer of Hunger, Battle and Death

• I Mille is reinforced to full power.

Mare Volontarie

• Gain 5 steamships and a fleet marker if available.

Shaking Hands with the King of Italy

• Available only if Sardinia controls all except one provinces of Italy (Papacy must be under control.)
• Italy is formed. France gets the Ironclad tech and a free Ironclad after 12 months.
  • After the free French Ironclad is built, the Ironclad tech is opened up for others to buy.
