- France DOW on Baden; Prussia DOW on Saxony; GB DOW on Portugal.
- Prussia allies with Britain and Sardinia
- Crimean war explodes into action in north and south.Battle of Jutenland is fought three times in two turns (october and november), costing both Britain and Russia over 400$. Russia loses slightly more ships, but British lose slightly more valuable ships. British get more hulks.
- Pavel Nachimov is seriously wounded (5 months) taking out a single Turkish ship.
November:
- Prussia DOW on Hesse and Hanover; Austria DOW on Tuscany.
- Prussia and Turkey ally.
- Russian admiral Default crushes the Turkish fleet in eastern black sea, but fails to destroy the Turkish steamship. Russia gets lots of hulks.
- France conquers Baden.
