* Draco's wife, Evelynn Anguis, is one of several children of an old blue-blood line. While she likely won't inherit large vasts of land and property, she still is rich in her own right.

* Draco managed to seduce her under entirely false premises, pretending to be the last scion of an obscure noble family he didn't quite make up out of whole cloth, but whose history he has greatly embellished. A noble family he has absolutely no relation to.

* To keep up appearances Draco needs to support a lavish lifestyle to not raise any suspicion, especially on part of Evelynn's parents.
