Once a year before an event is drawn for a new turn Sardinia may use one of the following Sardinian events.
These events cannot be used before the year 1854.
Each event can only be used once, if not mentioned otherwise.
Events
Spedizione dei Mille
- A DoW on an Italian minor (Sicily, Naples, Tuscany, Papal State, Lombardy or Venice. Also, in rare cases Piedmont or Sardinia).
- Each minor can be a target of the Spedizione dei Mille only once
- If for any reason an Italian minor reverts it's neutral minor status, after the Spedizione dei Mille has been used on it, Sardinia gains a right to declare war on such minor at the normal Declarations of War Step.
- Any other rules restricting a DoW must be taken into account, when using this event.
- If Sicily is a target of the DoW, Sardinian corps I Mille is formed and set up to Sicily with Garibaldi leading it (this is done off-phase).
- If the targeted minor in question is conquered by another major power, choosing the Spedizione dei Mille declares war on that major power.
- Each DoW costs one PP less than usual
- Each minor can be a target of the Spedizione dei Mille only once
